A spring group of wild Rio Grande Turkeys feed in the hazy morning sunlight. While attending his hen, a gobbler pauses to look at something suspicious, but his partially roused feathers and the relaxed hen betray that there is little to be concerned about.

This painting was a semi-finalist in the California Upland bird stamp competition.

Fine artist's acrylics on Ampersand GessoBord. This piece has been sealed and varnished in a manner that will allow for cleaning if necessary. This piece has been set into a wood frame with a lovely aged hardwood veneer. Note: this frame is constructed with "EcoWood", which is a MDF manufactured only from sustainable forest timber using responsible and ecological lumbering practices. It features a genuine hardwood veneer.
