Meet Aurora, the Icy Phoenix!

A glittering chill settles over glacial blue feathers. Small horns curl above clever lavender eyes; this is no normal bird!

Aurora here is a small "soft" sculpture, and is completely original and one of a kind.

Size: 6" tall and 10" from beak to tail-tip!

This soft sculpture has been completely hand crafted using epoxy, glass eyes, a wire armature, foam, and faux fur (no real fur used!), paint, ink, and glue. Because epoxy was used instead of clay or other materials, this sculpture is extremely solid and it would take great acts of violence to break or chip it (please do not enact great acts of violence on this fuzzy bird). That said, the paint can still be scratched, so be kind.

Though gentle posing on the neck can be made, this sculpture is NOT articulated to move or be posed. It will sit there and stare at you with its giant, juicy eyes, in this one pose, forever. It's okay. Gentle petting with clean hands and combing is just fine! A kind combing once in a while will keep your bird critter looking prim and prime.

The alcohol inks used to color parts of the fur are untested, long-term. This means there is a chance it can fade if exposed to direct light or strong ambient light. For this reason I recommend not displaying this bird near a window, so that it doesn't fade! Also, as parts of this bird are crafted with glue, it's important never to store this fuzzy creature somewhere hot (such as in a car), or it might come apart.

This is NOT a toy and is not intended for young children! It will not withstand being played with much, and is NOT made out of child-safe materials. The materials could pose a hazard to young children (and pets!). It is a small sculpture that just happens to be very cute and fuzzy.

I do share my home with a cat and parrots, and while I keep my work area clean, if you are allergic to either of these animals please note that this critter is not guaranteed to be 100% dander-free!

No casting or molds are used and this is a 100% one of a kind sculpture. Each little bird is completely hand sculpted with lots of time and love! Any other birds of this species I make will be unique! Also note that all screens display colors a bit differently, and the actual bird might vary slightly in person, depending on your display. This small hand-made item may have slight imperfections and makers marks. You may notice a subtle seam or a tiny bit of glue here and there. If small imperfections are troublesome to you, please reconsider your purchase. These birds are soft-ish, with a hard and solid core. They are nice to pet, but perhaps not to hug-- not to mention too small to hug! This should be considered a sculpture, and not a true plush.
